General Description

Nestled amidst the Carolinian Forest, atop the Niagara Escarpment, lies Falconridge Farm. It borders the hawk watch Beamer Conservation Area and the Bruce Trail, and is within a few kilometres of many of Niagara's top wineries.

You will fine vineyards, meadows, Christmas trees, orchards and woodland on our peaceful and secluded 23 acre farm. At the end of a sugar maple lined driveway, our large Victorian brick farmhouse, built in 1864, has been lovingly restored with all modern amenities.

We are pleased to provide a beautiful setting for a romantic weekend away. Enjoy cross-country skiing, hiking, winery touring or simply strolling through the woods to the spectacular scenic view of Lake Ontario. During the warm summer months you may enjoy our salt water swimming pool and lounge on our stone patio. Or melt in our hot tub under the stars. The silence is deafening.

Of course, Niagara Falls is just down the road with all its sights and sounds and action. But when you are ready to relax.....

Breakfast

We offer a continental or cooked breakfast with organic fruit juices from our farm. You will be offered traditional varieties of prepared eggs( fried, poached, boiled and scrambled),bacon,waffles and a whole hoste of other options including our signiture 'Strata'. Our guests will hate the effect our breakfasts have on their willpower to keep slim and trim, but hey it's your holiday and willpower can take a back seat!!!!

From Toronto,take the QEW towards Niagara and at the start of the Niagara region you will see signs for Grimsby 'The Gateway to Niagara'. Take the Christie exit and travel South through the town of Grimsby where Christie turns into Mountain Road and climbs the escarpment. Almost at the top, you will see Ridge Road East on your left, go up Mountain Road a little further until you reach the top (at the top you will see that there is a Greek Othodox Church on your left): Turn right onto Ridge Road West. Travel 1000 metres until you drive around a wide bend in the road and over a bridge where the road crosses 40 Mile Creek and Beamer Water Falls. At this point there is a small side road where the Bruce trail starts and the entrance to our farm, up a sugar maple drive, can be seen.

From Niagra Falls travelling on the QEW it is obviously very similar but you will firstly see Bartlett Avenue, followed by the exit for Maple, Ontario, and Christie.
