General Description

Royal Manor Bed & Breakfast is located on historic Ricardo Street, next to Fort George and Navy Hall, and across from the Niagara River. Queens Landing Hotels is just a block away and the many wineries are within a bike ride or a leisurely car ride through the country.

The beautiful 2 story Georgian home was built in the early 1800's as a Tavern for the ships arriving at the docks at Navy Hall. The waterfront is just across the road, and the river is visible from both the Niagara Suite and the Navy Hall Suite. The original pine floors throughout the house are still stunning and in amazingly good condition.

Royal Manor is surrounded by mature trees, lovely perennial flower gardens, and you can easily walk to the hustle and bustle of Town where the shops and restaurants are awaiting your enjoyment. The Shaw Festival Theatres are all within walking distance. The biking and walking trails along the beautiful Niagara Parkway are just a few steps away.

Royal Manor has been lovingly restored to its 19th century grace and has been updated with luxurious amenities. The Manor offers three spacious and beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with private ensuite bath. The large parlour is decorated with numerous antiques, a cozy place for guests to relax and mingle or to quietly read. A large covered verandah is also available for guest use and a walk through the perennial gardens to the beautiful clear-water pond will help to soothe the soul.

Delicious breakfasts will be served to your each morning, which will include fresh baking, local fresh fruits, juice, coffee, tea, and of course a hot entree! This will give you lots of energy to start your day, and along with the interesting breakfast conversation with other guests and your delightful host, you will be ready for a magical day.

Breakfast

A full gourmet breakfast is served in the bright and airy breakfast room on an antique dining set handed down in the family.

Delights such as eggs benedict, omelettes & quiches, fluffy buttermilk pancakes with maple sausages, or perhaps a traditional favourite of apple french toast will greet you in the morning. Coffee, tea, juices, and muffins are part of the standard fare.

Guests return over and over to request their favourite menu and to enjoy the wonderful conversation with other travellers and their host.

From QEW Toronto, take exit 38B - or from QEW Niagara, take exit 38 - then follow Highway 55 (Niagara Stone Road) to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Turn right onto Queen Street, left onto King Street, then right onto Ricardo Street. We are located at 242 Ricardo Street in a 2 story yellow historic home.
