General Description

Lakelands is a centrally located, adult-oriented bed and breakfast in the historic Old Town of Niagara on the Lake. We are situated on a tranquil, picturesque street surrounded by trees and parkland. The historic Heritage Trail is directly behind us. This area is perfect for those who enjoy biking and scenic leisure walking. Close by is the centre of town where you will find shops, art galleries, restaurants, a lakeside golf course, as well as great theatre at the famous Shaw Festival. Many of the Niagara on the Lake wineries are within a few minutes drive or bike ride and these offer tours and tastings, a popular learning experience for many of our guests.

Our home is bright, cheerful, casually elegant with beautifully furnished guest rooms. Guests can relax upstairs in the open-landing lounge, enjoy a quiet moment in the main level sitting area, have a glass of wine on the landscaped front patio, or sit in our serene perennial garden.

Directions

FROM TORONTO:
Follow the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) toward Niagara. Once across the Garden City Skyway at St. Catherine's, take EXIT 38B GLENDALE AVENUE NORTH to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Merge onto Glendale and proceed to the SECOND traffic light at YORK ROAD (Tim Horton's on your left). Turn left onto York Road, then right onto AIRPORT ROAD at the first set of traffic lights. Follow Airport Road through the first stop sign to the second stop sign at HIGHWAY 55 (also known as Niagara Stone Road). Turn RIGHT onto Highway 55 (Niagara Stone Rd) and drive for about 15 minutes, through the town of Virgil, and into Niagara on the Lake. Turn RIGHT onto JOHN STREET. After John and King Street intersection (Pillar and Post on the Left) proceed straight through and PARK COURT is first RIGHT after that. We are the fifth house on the RIGHT side. Welcome!

Crossing at Fort Erie (Peace Bridge) or at Niagara Falls (Rainbow Bridge): Follow the QEW towards Toronto. Take EXIT 38 and turn right to YORK ROAD (traffic lights), then right onto AIRPORT ROAD at the first set of traffic lights. Follow Airport Road through the first stop sign to the second stop sign at HIGHWAY 55 (also known as Niagara Stone Road). Turn RIGHT onto Highway 55 (Niagara Stone Rd) and drive for about 15 minutes, through the town of Virgil, and into Niagara on the Lake. Turn RIGHT onto JOHN STREET. CROSSING AT QUEENSTON/LEWISTON BRIDGE: Take the turn-off for NIAGARA PARKWAY and enjoy the beautiful ride along the Niagara River. Follow the parkway towards Niagara on the Lake. Turn left at JOHN STREET. Turn LEFT at PARK COURT. We are #10. Welcome!
