Guest Testimonials For Bed and Breakfast Lodgings in Niagara

The following are a sampling of guest reviews of B&B's in our membership.

I have recommended this B&B to friends, along with recommending the whole B&B experience. Many people don't think it's a good idea, that it's too personal. These people don't know what they're missing. Our stay at Wunderstruck only made our love for the B&B experience all the greater.Thank you! My wife and I took the turret room. It was magnificent! Accommodations were very nice. There was a hot tub on the property, which was very nice to relax in every morning and evening. It lacked sufficient jets for my liking, but worked well non-the-less. Each day we were served something different for breakfast. And not only different from the other days, but different in that I'd never had this food for breakfast before! We love to try different things, so this was a great experience for us. The food was always delicious too!

We've enjoyed both families that have been the hosts, and we'll opt to return there in future visits to N-on-L. We have stayed at Bayberry B & B for several years now, as it has transitioned through a second owner. We always choose the Polo Room, which we love. The bathroom is lovely and the bed comfy. More than adequate closet space. Yummy - variety of menu when we stay over two nights.

Delightful decor, very roomy and clean, the doyuble claw bathtub was heavensent! The reading livingroom and back porch were so relaxing and soothing for reading and relaxing. The dining room was like a piece of art that enhanced the enjoyment of a breakfast thaT MY HUSBAND STILL RAVES ABOUT AS BEING THE BEST HE'S EVER EATEN.The warmth of the owners made the experience such a joy - sharing a tour of the renovations, talking about weddings helf on site, etc.We plan to return!

Nice accommodations and location. It was a pleasure to see that you grow a lot of your own produce and if I recall correctly you also have egg laying chickens. The grounds were interesting with an opportunity to explore a little. The room was most comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was an unexpected bonus. We really enjoyed our stay.Thanks. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and very tasty. Although there was only one other couple there during our stay the breakfast gave us an opportunity to chat comfortably.

The location was very good for bike riding as we could roll out the driveway and on to the parkway. The hosts were accomodating and as I mentioned above the breakfast was really special. The room we stayed in was advertised with a bathroom in suite but we actually had to go across the hall to use our bathroom. The other two rooms did have bathrooms included. The closet could have used more hangers. The room was acceptable. Breakfast was wonderful. This is where the River Breeze really was excellent. We were able to enjoy eating outside by the pool with a view of the River. Really Great!

Christine and Dennis were amazing hosts. Their hospitality was overwhelming. Our wedding trip wouldn't have been so great without them. The rooms were cozy and wonderful. Breakfast was extremely delicious! The best I've ever had at a B&B.

We frequently recommend this B&B to friends and family for a relaxing, luxury weekend away in a perfect location. The host is most welcoming and accommodating. Beautifully decorated rooms, relaxing and very comfortable. Fantastic food in a beautiful kitchen with a view of the lake.

I am not easily pleased, and didn't quite know what to expect but everything about the stay at Kia-Ora was wonderful. The owners were very professional, but warm and welcoming and we felt very pampered for the entire stay. I would not hesitate to go again. The room came with a small electric stove that was very cozy. There were two rooms and a bath which we enjoyed to ourselves. We were there for two nights and had housekeeping the second day. it was a very enjoyable experience. Breakfast was served downstairs in a large room with windows all around to see the back yard in the winter and watch the birds. The table had all the little extras that made the breakfast pleasant and we were served juice, coffee, fresh fruit cup and a wonderful hot creation of the owner, different each day and delicious.

The proprietor was very pleasant, welcoming to our dog, and especially full of great help with maps, menus, and directions. Breakfast was very gracious, and we learned a lot about fruit farming in the region. Unlike many B&B hosts we have experienced, she ate at table with us, so it made us feel like we were guests or family. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ample and delicious, including many fresh items from their working farm.

This was our 5th visit and we have already booked our next. We have stayed in B&Bs around the world and this is our favourite. Wonderful ambiance - so welcoming and relaxing. So many thoughtful details - from the self-serve mini wine kitchen to the honour system drawer full of snacks and sundries, to the soft music, gas fireplace, reading material, comfortable indoor and outdoor sitting areas, lightscaping and so much more! And a wonderful, warm, considerate and knowledgeable host. A large, beautifully appointed and welcoming room with a comfortable bed and seating area. The host obviously thinks of every detail, from the small things, such as chocolates, bottled water, bathrobes, toileteries... To the important things such as lush bedding and luxurious towels. The lighting is perfect for reading. Amenities included flat screen TV with remote lots of hangers an ironing board & iron and hair dryer in room. Have I said beautifully decorated? The host is a chef and it is apparent in his breakfasts. Firstly, everything is top drawer - no disposable, single serving containers here! China, crystal, white linens, fresh flowers on the tables fresh butter, preserves etc. The breakfast is outstanding - home baked breads, croissants, scones, eggs, cheese, ham, cereals, creamy yogurt, juices, fresh fruit salad, specialty dishes... Lots of wonderful coffee! The host is discreet yet always knows when we need more of something. Perfect!

Niagara on the Lake was a great place to visit. There are many things to do. We repeated the experience the following year and again stayed at the Britaly. The room was tastefully done and comfortable. Graham and Aldo create a breakfast that is magnificent and it's good too.

If you want to have a relaxing vacation where you are treated like special guests in a stunning house that you'll soon want to call your home away from home, then please look no further!!! Not only will Butler Creek B&B live up to your highest expectations, but it is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed at... and I have stayed at dozens of B&B all over the United States and Europe... but nothing comes close to the warmth, hospitality and charm of this house and its hostess! My first visit to Butler Creek B&B was back in 2003 (for two weeks in April) and I have been a steady, annual customer ever since (coming in all seasons! It's beautiful any time year!). First, there's the hostess, Linda Jeffries. She is by far the friendliest, funniest most helpful B&B hostess you'll ever have the pleasue to meet. Linda clearly loves people and loves her job because she not only offers service with a smile and will accommodate your every need, but she has spared no expense when it comes to making her guests feel welcome and pampered. This includes ultra modern suites (not bedrooms, but gorgeous suites!) equipped with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a fireplace, sitting room and super comfy beds with plush pillows and fresh linens. The bathrooms (with jacuzzi!) are spotless and loaded with toiletries and plush towels. Not only is Linda a cheerful hostess, but she's an excellent cook who will make sure you do not leave her breakfast table hungry. (Her menu includes your choice of eggs, bacon, toast, waffles, pancakes, freshly baked muffins and fresh fruit and granola with a huge variety of special teas and coffee.) While you're eating breakfast, you will look out onto a gigantic private treed back yard with a huge deck complete with hot tub that is a must!!! The house itself is stunning. I call it 'Tara' because it reminds of a mini Gone With The Wind southern plantation house. It is a beautifully appointed home accented with a black wrought iron fence and circular driveway, located at the end of a quiet street, next to a ravine and historical Niagara landmark. (It's so tranquil here... you'll sleep like a baby!)

I stayed on 2008 with my parents who came visiting from Spain. I found the B&B through internet and we were all the three very pleased with our stay. The rooms were amazingly clean and the whole apartment had lots of little details which we really appreciated. All in all, it all felt really homey.

The hosts were very accomodating and friendly. They were formerly from Northern Ontario and were easy to talk to. Definitely on our list for next time in the area. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in, and the home was very warm and and comfortable. Loved the home made jams and spreads. The hostess was a wonderful chef and the breakfast was delicious.

We had never stayed at a B & B before. Now I fear we are spoiled. It will be difficult to find another that can compare. Our stay was just perfect! Jolene made our stay extremely enjoyable. We loved it so much that we are returning with 2 other couples in Sept 2010! The breakfasts were outstanding. We loved how Jolene sat and talked with us as we had our breakfast and coffee. She is just lovely.

Delightful stay. Very welcoming environment. Appreciated being able to self-check in early enough to get settled before a matinee. Great to have reading space between beds and bathroom. Delicious! Wonderful fruit and tasty treat of cream cheese croissant French toast. Yummy!

My husband celebrated our first year wedding anniversary and decided to choose The Red Coat as our first Bed & Breakfast experience, due to the location and history of the building. We couldn't have been happier. The Owners were so friendly, their kids very well behaved, the house itself was incredible (and even more outstanding once we found out they re-did the house entirely on their own). We will be returning again, only this time we're going to try the larger suite with the jacuzzi. :) Absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Brock room which came with a large balcony overlooking flowering trees and a quiet street. Pure relaxation. The bed was luxurious with the room having a lot of light, charm and character. This room also came with a three piece bathroom that was beautifully done and gave the occupant everything it needed. Breakfast was outstanding. Even my husband, who dislikes quiche, fell in love with the breakfast quiche we had our second day. I'd say the breakfasts that was made for us were the perfect mixture of homemade and gourmet cooking. Always enough to eat, but so much care and preparation went into each meal that you felt like a star. Good conversation was a perfect side-dish as well.

My wife and I really enjoyed our 1 year anniversary. Lee made it very memorable. This was the first time my wife and I have ever stayed at a B&B, and when we come back to Niagara Falls, we know where we will be staying. We want to thank Lee Taylor and Accommodations for making our anniversary very memorable. The room was amazing. I still can't get over the fact of having a beautiful jacuzzi tub at the end of the bed. The countless amenities in the room were great. Just about anything you would want, was there. Lee Taylor put on the most amazing spread. The decorative dining table was just breathtaking. Even for me, a very picky eater, I found that I had lots of food to choose from. Meeting all the different guests and chatting with them and Lee was very enjoyable.

The hosts provided us excellent dining and touring recommendations. Went to a great local Italian restaurant and after our tours of Niagara Falls we went to Niagara on the Lake and really enjoyed our afternoon there. For evening dinner we went to the Embassy Suites and saw the fireworks. Everything recommended was great. We enjoyed everything the room had to offer. The breakfast and hospitality were super! We had a great variety breakfast. homemade and delicious.

We will definitely return to Two Bees and will highly recommend it to family and friends. We have stayed in numerous B&B's in our travels and without a doubt, Two Bees ranks at the top of our list in our experience. It is a definite gem in the Niagara area! The room was immaculate, beautifully appointed, great attention to detail in decor and bathroom amenities (luxurious towels, bathrobes, jacuzzi, etc). It was a welcome, relaxing retreat at the end of the day. Refreshments were plentiful, readily available in close proximity to the room. Information on the area and activities was readily available through brochures, books and first hand information provided by our hosts. Our breakfasts can only be described as `gourmet`. Breakfast served on the porch provided a lovely ambience enabling us to readily converse with the other guests and our hosts. Our hosts readily responded to any dietary preferences. Each morning provided a new culinary experience, e.g. melon soup with yogurt followed by baked pancakes topped with local, seasonal fruit. We needed nothing more until supper! Again, attention to detail in setting, service, etc.,provided for a lovely start to each da

Excellent service, very friendly hosts, we were very pleased. This is not the first time we are using this B&B, and I am sure, not the last one. The room was clean and cozy. 4-post bed with a canopy was very cozy, the mattress was quite firm. Various dolls and plants around the room gave it a very homey feel. The bathroom was extremely clean. Because of all this coziness you do not feel the size of the room which is in fact small. Breakfast was excellent, especially the waffles with strawberry, their trade mark.

I have been to Blueberry for three years in a row now and love it every time I go back. Our hostess is quite charming, a good conversationalist and very willing to help us find different places. She made reservations for us last year for a dinner. That's real service. She is great. Will be coming back this summer. The room is very pleasant. Accomodations for the two of us is great. We request twin beds and they are always ready upon our arrival The room is spotless, the beds and pillows comfortable and the ammenities in the bath are quite accomodating. What a delight. Food is extremely delicious and so very well presented. The company is versatile and extremely enjoyable. Love that extra cup of coffee.

Phyllis has been running the B&B on her own the past year due to her husband being deployed to Afghanistan. She has been doing a great job. She is very personable, and provided good information on local restarants and places to see. She also passed out wine-tasting coupons for the various wineries. She is a very community-spirited business owner. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Phyllis provides bottled water & soft drinks, plus long distance phonecalls. There is a wrap around porch for enjoying the outdoors. Breakfasts are sumptuous, using local produce when possible. The B&B is within walking distance of the main downtown area but bikes are available for further distances. As above, breakfasts are sumptuous and beautifully served around one dining room table allowing for maximum interaction of guests.

The best part of the stay was being able to come back to the house with our wine and cheese from the local wineries and stores in town, and sit on the deck, surrounded with fragrant flowers and vines, and listen to the sultry jazz playing from the outdoor speakers, and enjoy the evening. The furniture was solid wood and beautifully made. The four-poster bed was very comfortable and romantic. The bathroom had a large shower (big enough for 2) and a separate large tub. We were able to fill the bar fridge with wine and snacks and relax undisturbed upstairs. There was also a sizeable TV... but honestly, we weren't there to watch it! The food was excellent. The service was professional yet friendly and relaxed. We got a real feel for the family who lived there, and felt welcomed into it for our brief stay.

We will definitely go back. One night was not enough. Our hostess was so charming and helpful and we felt like one of the family immediately. Coming from the United Kingdom, we just loved the warmth and character of the room which made us feel right at home. It was roomy and the bathroom was spotless and it was so nice to have room to move around. The breakfast was delicious and judging by the comments from other residents who had experienced previous breakfasts, each was a culinary experience. The dining room was designed for guests to relax together and share experiences because of the large dining table. Such a change from the English B&B's where `separate tables` are the norm.

Carlotta and Kash made us feel like family, not guests. We look forward to our next excursion to NOTL. We will definitely stay there (if they are not completely booked, which wouldn't surprise me when word gets out). The room had exceptional charm and was quiet and private. A great place for a getaway. There was a balcony that, had it not been November, we would have enjoyed using. Next time! The food was nothing short of outstanding. Carlotta is a great cook and she and Kash were wonderful hosts.

Upon arrival to the Redwood B&B our host greeted us graciously and gave us a tour of the house. There are marvelous antiques throughout and spectacular handcrafted workmanship throughout, our interest and questions in the history of the house and furnishings were satisfied by our knowlegeable host.My wife and I have spent the last 3 years visiting the Niagra area once or twice a year, and this by far the best stay to date.I would recommend the Redwood B&B for anyone visiting the The room was very spacious and included a walkout balcony with a picturesque view of the Niagra Gorge. The room furnishings were in excellent condition but also had a warm antiquish feel giving the room a inviting atmosphere. The room was very quiet from the other suites and was very clean. The breakfast was almost undescribeable, we began with various fruits, toasts and spreads at which point we were quite content. We were then treated to `Eggs Benedict` along with additional sides. This was followed by some excellent conversation and also a desire of helping the guests to make the most outof their stay. Our host even checked upon arrival to verify any potential allergies we may have. Absolutly the best breakfast away from home i have ever had.

The bottle of wine we enjoyed with Terry upon arrival was very enjoyable - have never had that any bed and breakfast before. Being able to sit outside on the balcony and deck was very nice. We had a family emergency back home and had to leave in the middle of the night. The owners could not have been more understanding. The location, the food, the hospitality - this is a beautiful b&b. It was just perfect - right down to the chocolate to help us celebrate our anniversary. Couldn't have been better!

We went to stay at Christmas time, around December 8th one year for the candle walk and had a great time. The area is always inviting and to have a great place to stay at night makes Niagara on the Lake a place we will always return to. Our second visit was in the summer and again we felt welcomed and comfortable. We caught one of the local plays and had a great dinner in one of your local reataurants. We will return and again the Annette Twining house will be at the top of our list. I have stayed here two times and look forward to many more. The owners are warm and cordial people who make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spotless, and always welcoming as we spent some time in front of the fireplace with a glass of one of your local wines. The jacuzzi tub was an amenity the wife could not get enough of, she was in there for hours Always excellent and perfectly served. Never felt rushed and had great conversations with the owners and other guest.

A great stay. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was that the DVD player was not working and we had brought a movie to watch. Very nice rooms within the suite. It was great that all 4 of us could stay in the same suite. It was hard to find a B & B that had a two room suite. Very tasty and well presented breakfast. The breakfast room was also very sunny and cozy.
